Almotamar.net - The General People’s Congress (GPC) on Monday reiterated its supportive stand for struggle of the Palestinian people in restoring their rights and establishment their Palestinian state and its capital Al-Quds.

Assistant Secretary General for political affairs and foreign relations Sultan al-Barakani has emphasized Yemen’s firm stand towards the Palestinian cause, pointing out the GPC, its leadership and its cadres consider the he Palestinian issue is the issue of all the Arabs.

He said that the GPC and its political leadership were and will be confirming this stand at different internal and external forums.

Al-Barakani, during talks conducted on Monday with Mr Abbas Zeki, member of the central committee of Fatah movement, he general commissioner of the Arab relations, stressed the necessity of solving the Palestinian differences and confirmed that the Palestinian committee is the way for reaching the aspired goal of the Palestinian people for obtaining their rights and establishing their independent state and it capital Al-Quds.

Al-Barakani said,” As for us in Yemen and in the GPC the Palestinian issue is an issue of firm principle and not liable to discussion or outbidding or for buying and selling.”

For his part MP Nabil al-Basha, the member of the standing committee of the GPC emphasized that supporting the Palestinian people has been a firm principle for the GPC, stressing on the necessity of solving the Palestinian differences and realizing the interest for depriving the Israeli occupier of the opportunity for exploiting the Palestinian division for serving its interest.

For his part Abbas Zeki presented detailed explanation on developments of the situations in the Palestinian arena in different aspects, reviewing what the dangers the Palestinian issue is experiencing especially under arrogance of the Israeli government.

Zeki has also pointed to the dangers threatening the city of Al-Quds and the Aqsa Mosque under attempts of Judaism by the Israeli occupation that seeks to efface the Arab and Islamic identity of the Holy city.

Mr Zeki also expressed the stand of the Palestinian people and Fatah movement in support of Yemen and its unity, security and stability and their rejection of any attempts to encroach the Yemeni unity. He added that the Yemeni unity that was achieved under the rifts and divisions, in which the world and the Arab region were passing, is an achievement that must be preserved as much as preserving pupils of the eyes.
