Almotamar.net - Informed sources have said Thursday that the Yemeni parliament is to consider on Saturday a message addressed on Wednesday by President Ali Abdullah Saleh to speaker of the parliament containing referring draft constitutional amendments for discussion and taking constitutional procedures about them.

The constitutional amendments represents great importance in developing the institutional and constitutional building of the legislative power in Yemen through changing the Shoura Council to a second chamber in the legislative power and moving to the bicameral system operated in democratic countries.

The constitutional amendments also include adoption of the large-powered local rule as part of the necessary constitutional reforms aimed to enhance and enrich the democratic experience and strengthen the woman participation in the political and public life.

The parliament Chairmanship Council should, within three days of receiving the amendment request, review the request and the justifications and reasons calling for the amendment and distributing g it in the parliament as well as enlisting it among the priorities of topics on its agenda. The parliament Presidency Council is should not postpone the amendment request for more than one week.
