Almotamar.net - Chairman of the Yemeni Shoura Council Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani has said Monday that the Yemeni initiative for developing Arab joint action enlisted on agenda of the Arab summit to be convened in Libya late this month does not constitute unacceptable contradiction of any regional regime and does not form any encroachment to any of the Arab countries. On the contrary it categorically affirms non-intervention in the internal affair of any state, member of the Arab States Union suggested in the initiative.
In the symposium organized Monday by 26 September newspaper and Amran University on the Yemeni initiative, Abdul Ghani said Yemen under the leadership of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who has the honour to take the initiative of submitting a mechanism for holding the Arab summit more than a decade ago, he has the hope that his new initiative would go ahead to its objective so that to be the most important decision to be taken by leaders of the nation in their upcoming summit.
Abdul Ghani added that the Yemeni initiative comes as expressive of unanimous Arab will as it aims to create an essential change in the structure of the Arab system that prevailed for 65 years since its adoption in 1945. He said the initiative suggests acceptable forms and mechanisms for solving disputes on basis of peaceful choice and establishes for effective Arab security system guaranteeing security and sovereignty of the member states of the proposed union as well as aiming at realizing economic integration, achieving sustainable development and encouraging cooperation between the Arab states and the world.
