Almotamar.net - Assistant Secretary General of the General People’s Congress (GPC) for Information Sector Dr Ahmed Ubeid Bin Daghr renewed Tuesday the invitation of the GPC ruling party to the opposition alliance of Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) to return to the dialogue table, respect February agreement and sincerely proceed towards implementation of its articles and not to look for reasons and excuses for putting it aside, and it is the worst to depend on others, inside and outside.

In a speech ceremony held in Sana’a on Tuesday on the anniversary of the Palestinian Land Day, Dr Bin Daghr announced readiness of the GPC to sign with parties of the JMP a draft agreement they agreed on its article in the end of last February, calcifying that the draft agreement includes the formation of one preparatory committee for a comprehensive national dialogue whose task is to apply February agreement of 2009. The February agreement stipulates the necessity of carrying out constitutional reforms leading to development of the political system , saying, “ and then to move to an electoral system we agree on ; a system taking into consideration characteristics of the democratic experience in Yemen “ and does not jump over he reality or seeks to achieve instant partisan interests without observing interests of the Yemeni homeland and the society and the united state as well as circumstances and complications of the stage.

In the ceremony organized by Kanan Society for Palestine Dr Bin Daghr also reviewed the challenges facing Yemen, calling on all good forces in the society to support the national efforts for overcoming problems of this stage and to confront schemes of conspirators aimed against gains of the Yemeni people.

Dr Bin Daghr also indicated to the unjust attack on the unity by elements that were known for their extremist stands and hostile tendencies, raising regionalist reactionary slogans and calling for return to the times of division.

Concerning the Palestinian issue Dr Bin Daghr pointed out the stand of the GPC, all forces of the national democratic alliance and all the good from the sons of the Yemeni people towards the Palestinian issue as it is the central issue of the Arab nation and all peoples of the free world rejecting tyranny and it is a stand identical to the stand of the political leadership under the leadership of President Ali? Abdullah Saleh.
