Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended on Saturday a ceremony organized on Labor Day at 22nd May International Hall in Sana'a capital.

In the ceremony, president Saleh delivered a speech in which he congratulated all workers in the country on this occasion, considering such celebration as one of features of socialism and communism in rewarding workers.

He expressed thank you for all workers who contribute to the development process in the nation in different fields.

We are proud of achievements of the Yemeni labor forces in different development sectors, he said.

Regarding efforts of the county in combating terror, president Saleh affirmed need for cooperation of citizens to combat the terrorism to insure stability, and increase investments in the nation.

He pointed out to the importance of the security and stability to achieve positive things for the Yemeni workers.

President Saleh announced establishment of a bank for the Yemeni workers, at capital of YR 3 billion, asking union of the Yemeni workers and concerned bodies to finalize studies related to the establishment of the bank, which aims at offering credits for laborers.

He also pointed out to the great achievement of unification, asking all to protect this achievement like other principles of the Yemeni revolution principles.

He also called on all political forces for serious dialogue under the dome of Parliament and Shoura Council apart from personal interests.

He also invited "owners of small projects" [indication to persons who try to damage higher interests of the nation] for dialogue under the dome of Parliament and Shoura Council based on February agreement signed between General People Congress, National Alliance for Opposition Parties and Joint Meeting Parties to amend laws of elections and local authority.

He wondered about a fear of the joint meeting parties from holding the parliamentary elections on time.

He confirmed that the elections would be held on time, saying that the delay for the elections was a mistake and Joint meeting parties is responsible of that.


The president also called on citizens to reject the culture of abhorrence.

Our people in the south are for the unity, president Saleh said, just a small group who promotes for returning the nation to the age before 22 May of 1990.

He also pointed out to the damages caused by elements of rebellion and waste of Imam Rule in Saada province.

However, if these elements comply with the six points, the state would re-build all affected regions for sixth time in the province of Saada and Harf Sufyan.

President Saleh called on these elements or dialogue and implementation of the six points.
