Almotamar.net - Head of the Information Office at the General People’s Congress (GPC) Tareq al-Shamy has said, in his comment on demand by the official spokesman of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) from the GPC to hand over power to the JMP, parties of the JMP have firstly to win the people’s confidence via ballot boxes to be able to attain power instead of looking for deals beyond voters will and according to what elections decide.

Al-Shamy added,” It is the right of parties of the JMP to be in power , and that is a legitimate democratic right , but through ballot boxes and away from putting impractical conditions and searching for fabricating crises , creating chaos and harmonizing with elements of sabotage and secession that are violating the constitution, law and order. “

He said the GPC would shoulder the responsibility of the homeland and would always be in the good opinion of the masses of people that granted it the confidence for leading the march of the homeland and serve their hopes and aspirations.

Al-Shamy has also affirmed that the GPC would not accept any delay in holding the legislative elections I the fixed date whatever were the excuses. Those parties must get prepared for this important democratic and constitutional right which is the essence of the pluralist democratic proce4ss which the people believed in it, if they actually serious in attaining power and prepared to assume it in the framework of peaceful transfer of power.
