Almotamar.net - Yemen’s President Ali Abdulla Saleh has on Monday given directives to the government for expansion in building of water dams and barriers for feeding underground waters and retaining rain waters for irrigation.

During his inspection visit to Al-Hada district of Thamar province today the President urged the citizens on rationing consumption of waters and the use of modern irrigation ways in agriculture and expansion in reclamation of agricultural lands.

The President has also inspected Al-Kumaim water dam which has been built in the area. The President got acquainted with the level of water flow to the dam as a result of heavy rainfall in the province of Thamar and a number of provinces in the past few days.
