Almotamar.net - Meetings of the 10th round of the Higher Yemeni-Syrian joint committee began its meetings in Sana’a Saturday under co-chairmanship of the two countries' Prime Ministers Ali Mohammed Mujawar and Mohammed Naji Utri.
The opening meeting reviewed areas of cooperation of the two countries and horizons of enhancing and developing them in service of the two peoples and countries and the level of progress realized in implementing agreements, protocols and memos of understanding signed by the two countries in meetings of the previous round held in the Syrian capital Damascus in the mid of last year.
The meeting studied the ways of cementing the economic relations, especially in trade and investment areas in addition to cooperation in areas of agriculture, social affairs and securities, technical and vocational education, development of small and the smallest, in addition to activation of role of the Yemeni and Syrian private sector in serving development and establishment of joint investment projects.
The talks also dealt with developments of the situations, both regional and international of common interest, especially the latest developments in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Sudan and Somalia and stands of the two countries about them.
In his address to the meeting the Yemeni Prime Minister Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar said horizons of cooperation between Yemen and Syria are great and large and that the regional and international circumstances necessitate more of joint work and benefiting from the available relative privileges in the manner enhancing the common interests bilaterally and in the Arab region.
The two sides also addressed the related aspects to developing and expanding cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all domains to reach the sought after partnership, in addition to opening the way for the bilateral political, economic, cultural and social areas to further flourish.
