Almotamar.net - An official source at the General People’s Congress (GPC)’s General Secretariat has expressed his regret regarding the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) acts offending the national dialogue which gathered under patronage of President Ali Abdullah Saleh on 17 of last July for the implementation of February agreement which represented a ray of hope for the return to reason under the republic and the unity.
The source said the GPC was surprised more than once by their JMP regarding its being unserious in the dialogue and the attempt to booby trap it while the GPC and its allies are still serious on holding national and constructive national dialogue contrary to exposure of intentions and behaviors of some leaderships of the JMP in their twisted and non-constitutional and irresponsible ways.
We would have hoped that the brothers in the JMP, who affirm their commitment to the dialogue to improve selection of their letters
Or those who speak for them but the GPC and its allies abstain from going along with those front elements in their rancorous and hostile behaviors towards the homeland, its republican system and the national dialogue, such as Mohammed Abdumalik al-Mutawakil who named himself as chairman of the JMP and discloses his ill intentions and enmity to the homeland, its revolution and its republican system.
The source said what the JMP has announced about its stance towards the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) arouses surprise it reflects lack of understanding and does not depend on any constitutional or legal foundation. The source added that the SCER is a constitutional body nominated by the parliament and a republican decree appointed it in accordance with the law and what it has taken of measures is part of the essence of its responsibilities and duties according to the law.
The regretful thing is that the parties of the JMP are trying to again impede the elections while they realize that the elections are the right of the electors rather than the parties, the source said. He clarified that dialogues do not cancel the work of the constitution and the laws and that the ideal solution for not violating the constitutional dates related to the elections is acceleration in the rate of the dialogue in the manner guaranteeing holding the parliamentary elections in their fixed date and in commitment to texts of the constitution and the operating laws and February agreement.
