Almotamar.net - The Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) in Yemen has Thursday emphasized its constitutional and legal right to prepare for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

A statement issued by the SCER on Thursday mentioned that the SCER as one of the neutral constitutional bodies is the party responsible for administrating the electoral process pursuant to authorization by authorities and constitutional and valid legal powers , did not fore itself from outside the constitutional institutions that contributed to nomination and appointed it.

The SCER has expressed its regret over what was mentioned in the statement of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) of phrases, confiscating freedom, right and reason and lacking of material evidence based on operable constitutional rules and legal texts.

It has said those affected have the right to go to judiciary instead of resorting to the language of politics and propagandist press in issuing statements and unleashing accusations aimed at instigation, deformation and instinctual terrorization against members of the SCER.
