Almotamar.net, Saba - Security sources in Abyan governorate have affirmed the killing of 5 Al-Qaeda elements who are involved in setting up an ambush for a number of security personnel in the governorate on Friday.

In exclusive statements to the military-run 26sep.net, the sources made clear that the Al-Qaeda members were killed during confrontations with the military forces following the ambush they set for a group of military personnel in their monitoring tour.

It noted that 3 other terror elements were injured during the confrontations and arrested, adding that they are now undergoing investigation.

A source in Luder security administration told Almotamar.net security men launched a campaign on Friday that led in addition to killing five of al-Qaeda terrorist elements , there were other ten of them wounded.

He source confirmed that five other al-Qaeda terrorists have given themselves up to Luder security authorities.

The security sources pointed out that they are tracking down the rest of the Al-Qaeda members who took part in the Friday ambush.
