Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Thursday a U.S. congressional delegation led by Senator George LeMieux.

The meeting discussed the bilateral relationship between Yemen and the U.S. and ways to boost the mutual cooperation in all areas and the partnership in the economic and security areas.

President Saleh affirmed Yemen is keen to strengthen the ties and partnership in the best interest of the Yemeni and U.S. peoples.

For his part, LeMieux praised Yemen's efforts in fighting terrorism, affirming his country will continue to support the country to root out terrorism and boost development.

Yemen is an active ally of the U.S. and the Congress will support Yemen's efforts aimed at overcoming developmental challenges, he assured.
