Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Sunday in France in a state visit in response to an invitation by the French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

It is scheduled that President Saleh will conduct talks with President Sarkozy revolving over means of reinforcing and upgrading the bilateral relations, as well as joint cooperation fields between the two countries.

The talks will also review the latest developments in the region, topped by peace process, counterterrorism and sea piracy.

Furthermore, Saleh is going to meet with a number of French officials to discuss issues concerning both of Yemen and France and cooperation areas.

Upon arrival, President Saleh spoke to the media mass expressing his pleasure to visit France upon an invitation by President Sarkozy.

He made clear that talks with President Sarkozy will focus on the overall cooperation relations between the two countries, in addition to developments in the region with regard to peace process, counterterrorism and sea piracy in the Gulf of Aden.

Saleh expressed his satisfaction with the growing developments of the Yemeni-French relations, showing keenness to further boost these relations for the common interest of the Yemeni and French peoples.

He highly valued the continuous support of France to Yemen's security, stability, unity and development and democratic process.

President renewed welcome of the French investments in Yemen, affirming they will be awarded full support; indicating the giant economic project in Yemen for exporting liquefied natural gas as an example of the available investment opportunities in the country.
