Almotamar Net - A security source said Monday the situations in the district of Mudia of Abyan province have returned to normal on Monday and the citizens there returned to practice their work amid quietness following attacks by security forces on hideouts of al-Qaeda resulted in the killing of 6 terrorist elements and wounding and capturing others.

Almotamar.net - A security source said Monday the situations in the district of Mudia of Abyan province have returned to normal on Monday and the citizens there returned to practice their work amid quietness following attacks by security forces on hideouts of al-Qaeda resulted in the killing of 6 terrorist elements and wounding and capturing others.

Deputy Director of Mudia district security authority Mohammed al-Khidr Mohammed had affirmed that the terrorist elements are taking women and children as human shields in the areas of Taouba and Al al-Qathani, saying the security bodies with support of military units were able to completely destroy and clear a number of hideouts of those terrorists in Mudia district.

The source added security men were hunting down of 2o terrorists that fled the area to mountains in the area while some are taking refuge in houses of citizens.

He added that confrontations by security forces and a number of al-Qaeda elements resulted in killing more than 6 of them in the past days and the capture of the main wanted the terrorist Hani al-Thurayah and found in his possession dangerous documents for al-Qaeda revealing plots on targeting security personalities in Abyan province.

In a statement to Al-Mithaq newspaper the source said the security foiled a second attack by terrorists on Saturday evening after failure of the first attack that targeted a military patrol that engaged with the terrorists leading to the killing of one soldier and wounding others.

He indicated that the situations in the district were quiet and people carry out their life and work normally.
