Almotamar.net - Ambassador Barbara Bodine has on Saturday visited the Free Zone in Aden where she was received by head of the Free Zone Dr Abdul Jalil al-Shuaibi. In response to her desire to know much about the Free Zone he gave her a brief account on the zone and the circumstances it passed through since its establishment and its development, privileges and facilities it offers, the existing projects, points of weakness and strength , hindrances and difficulties and its future plans.
Ms Bodine indicated the economic importance and the development role played by free zoned in the world due to the work they perform. And at the level of Yemen she affirmed that the location of Aden on the line of international navigation is considered a national and natural wealth that must be benefited from. she added the establishment of the free zone in this part of Yemen; Aden along with the existence of Aden international port and the airport would directly contribute to supplying the state treasury with hard currencies besides oil exports of which it has been proved could not be depended on totally .
Bodine has also affirmed the necessity of ideal exploitation of Aden location and to work for cooperation of all government and people�s sides in providing security and stability, facilitate all procedures and creation of the convenient investment climate to attract foreign investments and to support the free zone.
On the conclusion of the visit ambassador Bodine praised the active role of the free zone in Aden for implementing its general goals .
For his part the head of the Free Zone presented Bodine the Free Zone Coat of Arms in appreciation, wishing her success in her work.
