Almotamar.net, Saba - Yemeni authorities have said that Information Ministry asked two correspondents belonging to Al-Jazeera Satellite Channel to leave Yemen.

Abdulhaq Sadah and Ahmed Zaidan left the country on Saturday after the ministry accused them of committing malpractice during covering protests in Yemen.

An official source at the Yemeni Information Ministry has clarified that the two correspondents worked in Yemen illegally and in violation of regulations of the ministry. They had first entered Yemen with a tourist visa under excuse of visiting relatives in Yemen and then requested to work as correspondents for Al-Jazeera Satellite Channel during their stay in Yemen under pretext of writing tourist reports. He said the ministry was surprised by the correspondents by their sending daily news reports on events in Yemen. Consequently, after apologizing for doing that, they asked to be allowed to continue sending news stories, promising to commit to professional credibility and general impartiality away from siding to any side.
