Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Sunday has received in Sana’a ambassadors of the European Union (EU) countries to Yemen where there was discussion of bilateral relations and cooperation between Yemen and the EU countries.

The meeting also discussed development of the current situations in the region, including Yemen, and the role that the UE can play in serving security and stability in Yemen and the region in general.

President Saleh has reviewed all the efforts exerted for the dialogue and reforms and avoiding Yemen sedition and violence, at the forefront of which are the initiatives made by the President, whether his initiative presented before the parliament and the shoura council or the initiative of the 8-point [resented by the religious scholars or his initiative at the general national conference.

The President has affirmed Yemen’s commitment to the democratic pluralist approach, the right to expression of opinion peacefully and the peaceful transfer of power away from violence, chaos and destabilization of security and stability which harm the interests of all.
