Almotamar.net, Saba - Sana’a- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met in Sana’a Saturday with the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General's Political Advisor Gamal bin Omar.
They discussed the situation in Yemen in light of the repercussions of the current crisis caused by the opposition joint meeting parties (JMPs) and the efforts made by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States to resolve the crisis.
In addition, Saleh and bin Omar discussion dealt with a number of issues and topics related to relations and cooperation between Yemen and the UN Organization.
President Saleh praised the efforts made by bin Omar, noting to the good and objective report that he submitted on results of his previous visit to Yemen.
He reiterated his keenness on the dialogue that serves Yemen's higher interests and maintains its security, stability and unity.
For his part, bin Omar confirmed the interest and keenness of the UN and its Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to help Yemen to overcome the current crisis.
He pointed to the importance of dialogue between the Yemeni parties so as to find solutions to end the crisis, affirming the UN's support for all efforts and endeavors aiming at resolving the crisis.
