Almotamar.net - Sana’a-The Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Saturday visited the Yemeni poet Walid al-Ramishi at the hospital where he is receiving medical treatment. The poet came under attack by elements from the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) who committed cutting hi tongue just because he expressed his opinion in a poem they did not like.

It has been an ugly crime against one of the talented for nothing but because he expressed his opinion by a poem describing the situations in Yemen and worries of its people. The crime aroused denunciation and condemnation of large circles of the Yemeni people as well as organisations.

The President got assured about the poet’s health in the hospital and the medical care offered to him and the President ordered to transfer the poet abroad for treatment.

The doctors supervising the poet’s treatment have affirmed possibility of curing him and conducting surgical operation after which he may restore talking.
