Almotamar.En - Sana'a – Minister of Communication and Information Technology ( MCIT) , Dr Ahmmed Obeid Bin Dagher opened on Wednesday the 1st Conference for Telecommunication and Information Technology which organized by the Center of Studies and Economic Media in Movenpike Hotel , Sana'a.
During the opening session , Dr Bin Dagher identified the future strategies , priorities and requirements of telecommunication sector in Yemen. He added that one of the most important strategies of telecommunication sector is to create new opportunities and a real investment which enable the youth and the graduated students to overcome the impact of unemployment in Yemen .
The MCIT , Dr Ahmmed Bin Dagher highlighted that the liberalization of the telecommunication sector basically depends on the government's ability to take the appropriate procedures and needed actions required for the investment that can give rewards rapidly in short period
In his word , Dr Bin Dagher pointed out that the ministry has already indentified priorities for the future of telecommunications sector in Yemen, to establish the regulatory environment and legal systems of the investment in the telecommunication sector . In this regarding . the Telecommunication Regularly Authority came to separate between policies from one had, and the operation and organization from the other hand , stressing that the ministry will invest all its available potential to make the communications and information technology in Yemen more better in the coming years .
In a word said in behalf of the private telecommunications Companies , the Deputy executive manger of (MTN) , Mr Ali Abdull wraith expressed his wished that the telecommunication companies looking to improve the policies governed by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology which should stand at same distance from all parties that provide the telecommunication service to let the companies work in the competing market to offer better service for the people in order to provide the advanced generation of communication and information technology in Yemen
The conference discussed a number of various papers including the legislative constraints , the growth of telecommunication and information technology as well as the obstacles in the income Tax Act ,the law of local government General tax for sales.
