almotamar.net - Assistant UN Secretary-General, Special Adviser to Secretary-General on Yemen, Jamal Benomar has held a series of meetings in Washington with senior officials at the White House and the US State Department.

In a statement to Saba, Benomar said that those meetings have focused on the challenges facing the political transition process in Yemen as well as the possibility of providing further support by the US government, the United Nations and the international community for Yemen�s transition process and the next steps.
