almotamar.net - The United Kingdom (UK) reiterated on Thursday its support for Yemen's political transition and its fight against terrorism.
In his statement issued in response to this morning's attacks on the Defense Ministry's Hospital (al-Ordhi) in Sana'a, UK Foreign Secretary William Hague condemned strongly the horrific attack that has led to killing and wounding a number of military personnel.
Offering his country's support to President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, Hague stressed the UK commitment to supporting Yemen's political transition and to helping its fight against terrorism.
He said that Yemen's progress so far has been commendable, adding "we must not allow this process to fail."
"As the UN Security Council reiterated just last month, all those attempting to disrupt Yemen's political transition will face serious measures."
The UK Foreign Secretary extended his condolences to the families of the victims' families.
Early today, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives-laden car at Defense Ministry building of the al-Ordhi Hospital of the Defense Ministry's Complex, according to an official at the Defense Ministry.
He added that a car carrying a number of armed men entered the building after the explosion and exchanged fire with the soldiers, confirming that the situation is under control and that the majority of the armed men were killed within the complex.
