Foreign Minister Abu Baker al-Qirbi met here on Tuesday with Regional Director of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) Ayman Ayoub.

During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of the Institute to support Yemen in capacity building in the fields of democracy and electoral process.

Al-Qirbi reviewed the developments of the democratic process in Yemen and the next stage's requirements in terms of formulating and referendum the constitution and procedures of the upcoming election.

For his part, Ayoub briefed the Foreign Minister on the Institute, its objectives and role in democratic transition around the world.
