Military units of the second Military Region raided on Monday a villa in 60 street in Mukala, which was used as a den by a terrorist cell to carry out terrorist acts.

A military source at the Military Region command said on Tuesday that the military forces surrounded the villa after receiving the information about the existence of a terrorist cell and clashed with the terrorists.

The source added that the terrorist elements managed to escape leaving their equipments and devices, including audio devices, a computer, telephones, lighting means, civilian and military clothes ,detonators, explosives, drugs, and varied ammunitions.

The source called on all citizens to report any suspicious acts or terrorist elements and to cooperate with the military and security forces in order to consolidate the security in the country.

The defense ministry announced to reinforce the armed forces after the militants have killed 14 soldiers near Shibam city, Hadramout province.

The soldiers were kidnapped from a public bus on August 08, while on their way from Sayoun city towards the Capital Sana'a.
